A beautiful piece of history, this is a pre-owned Rega Planar 3 of 1977 to 1983 vintage, which has been thoughtfully upgraded to a modern standard.
In very good condition, with the much sought-after thick plinth, smoked dust cover and Rega R200 (Acos Lustre) tonearm. The tonearm has been rewired by The Vinyl Source with high-quality, 18-strand, continuous oxygen-free copper in silk insulation, 99% shielded, with high-quality Amphenol RCA connectors and a separate ground wire, this is a huge improvement from the original wiring situation in this tonearm.
Fully serviced and tested by Loud & Clear Edinburgh, including fitting Rega's upgraded Reference EBLT, a new motor capacitor and UK Duraplug.
The deck has a Rega Carbon fitted as standard, but can be upgraded with any narrow-body cartridge from our range.
There are some microscratches on the dust cover and plinth, but this is in otherwise exceptional condition.
