Standard
Our standard service covers everything commonly required to keep your turntable in tip-top shape:
- Cleaning and reoiling main bearing
- Servicing the automatic mechanism
- New neoprene drive belt
- Stylus clean
- Set up cartridge - includes fitting of a new cartridge if desired
- Checking tonearm wire connections
- Set up tonearm tracking force, anti-skate and lift-lower height
- External clean
- Speed check
- Audio test
Extras
In some turntables, further work is required to restore functionality:
- Most commonly, the toothed belt responsible for fine pitch adjustment will wear and break, necessitating replacement

- Wear, dirt or dried lubricant in the vario-pulley mechanism can prevent the turntable reaching the correct speed and reliably switching between 33rpm and 45rpm. In most cases we can service this mechanism to restore functionality.

- The original plastic RCA connectors can become brittle and crack over time, we can replace these with high quality, long lasting Neutrik Rean RCA connectors.

- Failed polyester capacitors can cause a loud popping through speakers when the motor starts, or cause the motor to run at inconsistent speed or even backwards. These can be replaced with modern Rifa equivalents.
